Multi-instrumentalist, composer and performer Alison Jenkins has a busy and varied career in theatre, music and teaching. Most recently, she performed in Sum Theatre’s production of Little Badger and the Fire Spirit in Saskatoon, and last spring was part of the award-winning premiere production of Julie McIsaac’s play The Out Vigil.
Alison performs with Vancouver bands Something About Reptiles, Lone Crow Jubilee, and Zeellia. She also writes her own songs and music, has two blogs (east van chronicles and Hungry Fox), and is currently working on a series of children’s stories, The Adventures of Ali Fox. A passionate believer in the arts’ power to change the world, she teaches music to children of all ages at the Sarah McLachlan School of Music and at Arts Umbrella.
