Ranae Miller

Manager, Community Programming

Ranae is a performer and arts administrator who lives on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. In 2023, she joined Arts Umbrella first as an Assistant with the Student Services team, and now as a Coordinator for Community Programs.

Before Arts Umbrella, Ranae had years of customer service experience under her belt. She worked as the Manager for Great Wall Tea Co. for almost 6 years, sharing her love for tea with the cities of New Westminster and Burnaby. Her time at GWT really fostered her passion for positive leadership, which she now brings to her role at Arts Umbrella.

As a former theatre kid herself, Ranae understands how crucial arts education is for child’s development. After graduating with a diploma in Musical Theatre from Capilano University, she performed with various companies across the Lower Mainland, including Gateway Theater, Royal City Musical Theater, Theater Under the Stars, and Align Entertainment.

Arts Umbrella ties together her admiration for the arts and her desire to make art accessible to all children. She finds it incredibly fulfilling to be part of the Community Programs team, bringing arts directly to those facing their own unique challenges, while finding confidence, support and developing their creative expression. In her eyes, it’s about making the world a better place, one student at a time.
