BMO Van Go & Stage Coach

Since 1988, the Van Go and Stage Coach programs have provided free visual arts and theatre workshops, bringing activities and art supplies into local elementary schools.

BMO Van Go and Stage Coach is Arts Umbrella’s largest and longest-running no-cost community program, bringing high-quality arts education directly into schools across Metro Vancouver.

Led by professional artist-instructors, the program connects classroom learning with the arts, inviting students to explore curriculum-relevant topics through Theatre (Stage Coach) or Visual Arts (Van Go). From improvisation and storytelling to drawing, painting, and mixed media, students engage in creative activities that encourage self-expression, celebrate diversity, and foster a sense of community.
