What is Giving Tuesday?
It’s a Canadian movement that aims to transform how people think and talk about giving, especially during the holiday season. Giving Tuesday lands on the Tuesday following Cyber Monday, giving charities, companies, and individuals an opportunity to rally for a good cause and think about others.
At Arts Umbrella, our goal for Giving Tuesday is to raise funds to support free and low-cost programming for at-risk youth in Metro Vancouver.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Giving Tuesday, November 28, 2017!
We’re thrilled to announce that through your generous support, 135 Arts Umbrella classes will be offered to children and youth who otherwise would not have been able to attend our programs. Art changes lives in incredible ways, and please know your donation has a direct and tangible impact on our community’s youngest artists allowing them to grow self confidence, explore creative thinking and nurture artistic expression.

Hoping to continually spread the giving spirit?
With your help, we can offer more bursaries and free-of-charge outreach programs to children whose families struggle to afford an arts education.
Donate online, mail a cheque or contact us by phone at 604-681-5268 x 271 or by email at email@example.com; to make a gift or for more information about the various giving options. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Tax receipts are automatically issued for donations of $10 or more.
Studies show that art plays a critical role in childhood development, improving graduation rates and providing young people with a sense of community and self-confidence. We believe finances should never prevent a child from participating in the arts. As a non-profit organization, Arts Umbrella is committed to making our programming accessible to as many children and youth in our communities as possible. This Giving Tuesday, help us reach our goal of providing 250 free classes to young people in need.
