About AUDC

AUDC consists of more than 60 dancers and members are students of the Professional Training Program, Post-Secondary Preparation (PSP) Program, and Post-Secondary Program. These dancers train, rehearse, and perform in three ensembles: Apprentice (Grade 8 & 9), Senior (Grade 10-12 & PSP), and Grad (Post-Secondary).

The company’s rigorous training and broad-based performance and touring opportunities prepare members for university-level dance education or a career with professional dance companies. Lauded for their professionalism and dedication, AUDC dancers often go on to join companies across North American and Europe, including Ballet BC, Nederlands Dans Theatre, GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, and Kidd Pivot.

World-Renowned Choreographers

AUDC performs work by world-renowned choreographers such as Sharon Eyal, Marco Goecke, Crystal Pite, William Forsythe, Johan Inger, Aszure Barton, and James Kudelka, among many others.

Performances and Tours

AUDC regularly performs in Metro Vancouver and has toured to Montreal, Toronto, New York, Japan, and Holland. The Company has also participated in exchanges and collaborations with groups such as Yokohama Ballet in Japan, Noord Nederlandse Dans Studio Group in the Netherlands, Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble, and École supérieure de ballet contemporain de Montréal.
