Splash 2011 | Arts Umbrella’s 29th Annual Art Auction & Gala
Splash 2011 was, in one word, beautiful.
This year's theme, Blank to Beautiful inspired our community to see the potential in a blank canvas, similar to the potential that young kids see at Arts Umbrella. On October 15th, Performance Works on Granville Island came to life for Splash 2011, Arts Umbrella's 29th annual Art Auction & Gala. More than $375,000 in net revenue was raised at this impressive event, all to support the delivery of arts education to as many children in Metro Vancouver as possible.
Hosted by CTV's Coleen Christie and Jonny Staub of The Beat 94.5, Splash 2011 featured works donated by 103 artists, a stunning array of complimentary wine, cocktails and food, and an interactive digital graffiti wall.
Splash started as a blank canvas 29 years ago and has since become one of the most established and alluring art auctions in Vancouver. Arts Umbrella is extremely grateful to everyone for supporting the idea that inspiring kids of life is nothing short of beautiful.
