Sewit resides on the ancestral, unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tseil-Waututh nations. She was a student in Arts Umbrella’s Pre-Professional Troupes for 5 years. She has an interest in performance, music, writing and directing. In 2021, Arts Umbrella awarded her the Ken and Anne Woods award in recognition of her achievement in theatre. Sewit has been working at Arts Umbrella since 2020. She loves working with kids because of their playfulness, excitement and energy! She currently studies at Studio 58 (Langara College) in the acting program. Sewit hopes to share her passion for the arts with students at Arts Umbrella!
