Bursaries

Arts Umbrella is committed to making the arts as readily accessible to as many children and youth in our communities as possible.

The bursary fund is designed to assist families overcome financial barriers to providing arts education to their children. Based on financial need, Arts Umbrella bursaries allow hundreds of children to register in tuition-based programs at a reduced rate. Arts Umbrella bursaries directly offset tuition fees for classes in Visual, Applied and Digital Arts, Theatre and Dance.

All applications are held in confidence. Submission details are included on the application form.

Bursary application deadlines:

Spring Break Programs (March 8-12): apply by Wednesday Feb 24, 2010
Spring Session (March 15-June 6): apply by Saturday Mar 6, 2010
Summer Programs: apply by Tuesday Apr 27, 2010
(First day of Summer Programs registration: Tuesday May 4, 2010)
(Summer Programs Session 1: July 5-16, 2010)
