Performance Research Program (PReP)

PReP is a new half-day program for emerging dance professionals led by Lesley Telford. The program focuses on developing an intensive artistic practice which offers a technique class followed by a daily workshop.

The morning class will be a ballet or contemporary technique class. The workshops will delve into the creative process with the research and development of new work as well as the investigative learning of existing repertoire. Part of this program involves a laboratory exchange with other artists in the community such as visual artists, musicians, film makers, etc.

Conceived as a stepping stone into a career in dance, this program aims to provide further experience in the creative process and laboratory setting with daily training. The program is structured to function in parallel with an emerging professional path so that the dancers involved will have time in the afternoons to be involved in professional projects and performing opportunities.
