Dance
Arts Umbrella's Dance Program is recognized internationally as a high-quality program that develops the whole dancer, stressing technique, strength, intellectual and artistic expression, while balancing those with a health and wellness focus.
The program has a strong foundation in Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Modern and Creative Movement dance forms. Classes range from recreational to professional-level training for those with dance career aspirations. Young dancers are given the opportunity to explore dance as artists, athletes, performers, audience members and future professionals, all under the guidance of the highest-quality instructors.
Dance auditions for the 2010-2011 program year (Summer Dance Intensive, Graduate & Diploma Programs and Professional Program) will be held on March 21, 2010 at Arts Umbrella, Granville Island.
