All classes at Arts Umbrella encourage creativity and exploration. This is particularly true in Visual and Applied Arts where accomplished artist instructors bring their vast knowledge and experience to the classroom.

 

Theatre Arts Overview

Arts Umbrella's Theatre Arts uses performances, improvisation, monologues, movement, games and other excercises to help students explore the theatre world as creators, audiences and performers.

 

Dance Overview

Our dance programs are internationally recognized as training that develops the whole dancer, stressing technical strength while embracing the importance of the intellectual and artistic elements of dance.

Early Childhood Overview

At Arts Umbrella, we help children develop healthy attitudes about themselves and the world around them by introducing them to visual and performing arts at an early age.

Digital Arts Overview

Digital arts classes at Arts Umbrella give students the chance to explore various aspects of our digital world. Accomplished artist instructors show students how to use the computer as a tool for creative expression and discovery. 

Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach Overview

Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach — An Arts Umbrella Project (SMMO) is a free music program offered in Vancouver's inner-city.
It provides high-quality instruction in guitar, piano, percussion and choir.

Spring & Summer Programs Overview

Arts Umbrella offers creative learning opportunities for students of all ages during school breaks. Spring Break Programs run in March and the Summer Programs in July and August.

Bursary Information Overview

Each year, hundreds of young people receive financial support to attend our programs to pursue their passion in the arts.

To ensure that our classes are truly accessible to children, Arts Umbrella established the Bursary Fund.
