Take the stage this summer and grow your theatre passion! Work with renowned local theatre arts professionals and build your understanding of collaboration, timing, memorization, melody, harmony, and the relationship between body and instrument. Sessions end with an inspired performance for friends and family.

Summerstage Musical Theatre Intensive

July 3–27, 2018 (Mon–Fri)
9 am–4 pm

Train with the professionals! Gain valuable ensemble and solo performance experience, polish your audition repertoire, develop your voice, and learn advanced singing, dancing, and acting techniques. Program concludes with a full-length Broadway musical performance at Studio 1398 on Granville Island.

Summer Youth Theatre Intensive

July 2–6

This one-week, intensive half-day acting workshop includes a variety of exercises, scene studies, and script work to build and enhance your performance skills. Focus on voice, movement, characterization, and improvisation, and at the end of the session, stage a performance for family and friends.

Summer Acting Intensive

July 9–14, 2018
9:30 am–4:30 pm

Take to the stage and trust your instincts! In this one-week program, you’ll hone your acting chops, and improve your rehearsal and performance skills. Through theatre exercises, character study, and voice work, you’ll learn to make strong, consistent choices about your roles on stage. It’s the best way to feel confident in front of an audience.

Film Acting Intensive

July 16–20, 2018
9:30 am–4:30 pm

Rolling, action! From page to screen, young actors collaborate to create a series of short films. In this one-week program, you’ll learn about acting for the film and television industry, from audition to production. Practice cold reads, hone your audition skills, experience on-set simulations, and learn how to take your acting to the next level. The Film Acting Intensive culminates in a collaborative project in which students film, act, and edit their own short piece.
