Arts Umbrella presents Expressions, an annual festival celebrating the boundless creativity of young minds — because young artists show us creativity at its brightest.

Expressions Festival brings inspired and cutting-edge dance performances, innovative and original theatre shows, and diverse art exhibitions to venues and stages across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Every discipline, every class, and virtually every Arts Umbrella Spring session student showcases work during Expressions. The festival allows young artists to take pride in their accomplishments, and share that pride with family, friends, and the public.

Support our young artists by visiting an exhibit or taking in a show by our theatre troupes at Waterfront Theatre or our dancers at the Vancouver Playhouse. No matter what you choose to see or do, Expressions will leave a lasting impression.

Be moved. The culmination of months of exploration and rehearsal, the Arts Umbrella Dance Company takes to the stage in two extraordinary, cutting-edge performances.

Celebrate our visual artists’ accomplishments. After months of exploration and experimentation in classes ranging from drawing and painting, to mixed media and sculpture, to photography and animation, Arts Umbrella’s Spring session students are ready to display their works to friends, family, and the public. With such a broad range of art forms and projects, we showcase work at exhibits and displays across the Lower Mainland.
