Sabra Perry is from Vancouver Island, BC. She began dancing there under the guidance of Linda Klassen, and later graduated from Canada’s National Ballet School. Sabra has performed with companies including the National Ballet of Canada, Hartford Ballet, Merce Cunningham Repertory Group, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and Dances Patrelle, in works by choreographers such as George Balanchine, Merce Cunningham, Ulysses Dove, Jodie Gates, Martha Graham, Nicolo Fonte, William Forsythe, Jae Man Joo, Francis Patrelle, Desmond Richardson, and Dwight Rhoden. She was also a ballet mistress with Complexions and a faculty member at Ballet Academy East in New York, and has been a guest instructor across the United States and Canada. Sabra continued her dance education studies at the Dance Education Lab, holds a BA in dance from SUNY/Empire State College, and is a certified Pilates Mat instructor.
Sabra joined the Arts Umbrella faculty in 2012, where she teaches ballet in the pre-professional and post-secondary dance programs, and repertoire with the Arts Umbrella Dance Company.
