(She/Her/Hers)
Katherine is an interdisciplinary artist who is dedicated to lifelong learning and sharing her passion for the Arts with children and youth. Based in Vancouver, BC, she is privileged to live, work, and create on the traditional and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
Since 2016, Katherine has taught at Arts Umbrella and she is honoured to be instructing where her artistic journey began. From a young age, she began developing her skills at Arts Umbrella in dance, theatre, and visual arts. Prior to training at Studio 58, Katherine was also a member of the Pre-Professional Musical Theatre Troupe. In addition, she has trained and performed with companies throughout the Lower Mainland such as Arts Club Theatre, Bard on the Beach, Royal City Musical Theatre, Awkward Stage Productions, Western Gold Theatre, and Laughing Matters Theatre Company.
Katherine is a proud recipient of the Cheryl Hutcherson Award (Applause! Musical Society, 2021) and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical (CTC Award, 2019).
Like Ms. Frizzle from The Magic School Bus, Katherine encourages her students to, "take chances, make mistakes, and get messy"!
