Brynne Harper

Brynne Harper is a dance-theatre artist and educator living and working on the unceded territories of the Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. She received her primary training at New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble before continuing her studies at Arts Umbrella’s Post-Secondary Program under the direction of Artemis Gordon.

After graduating in 2017, she trained with Lesley Telford as a part of the Performance Research Project, and had the opportunity to begin teaching dance. She has taught at Anna Wyman School of Dance Arts, CrossManeuver Performance Projects, and Arts Umbrella Dance, hoping to foster curiosity, understanding, and joy in the language of dance. She has performed works by Crystal Pite, Lesley Telford, Aszure Barton, Jennifer Mascall, and Serge Bennathan, among others, and was a part of the 2019 production of Rock of Ages under the direction of Chris Adams. She is currently working towards her BFA in Theatre Performance at SFU.
