Ashley Chodat

Ashley Chodat (She/Her) is a theatre artist, writer and educator based in Surrey, BC. She holds a diploma in Theatre from Douglas College, where she performed in the North American premiere of Blackout and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Since graduating, she has been fortunate to work with companies such as Peninsula Productions, The Cultch, Staircase Theatre and the BC Thespians Festival . Most recently, Ashley co-produced and performed in Legoland as part of the Vancouver Fringe Festival (Dramatic Works Series.) She is passionate about arts education, and is currently completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a double major in Applied Theatre and Writing at UVIC. Ashley has been with Arts Umbrella since 2017, and is grateful for the opportunities to collaborate with young artists. She would like to acknowledge that she works, lives and plays on the unceded traditional and ancestral lands of the Kwantlen, Musqueam, Katzie, Semiahmoo, Tsawwassen, Qayqayt and Kwikwetlem peoples
