Aidan Farrell

Aidan Farrell is a vocalist, pianist, composer, and teacher based in Vancouver, BC. Born in Vancouver, she studied music in Toronto receiving her Honours Bachelor of Music in Voice from Humber College and Masters of Arts in Music Composition from York University where she expanded her love of songwriting and composition. Her Masters' composition thesis was written on the songwriting and arranging of "The Motown Sound" from the years 1961-1969. Aidan has taught voice, piano, and songwriting for the past 7 years to students of all ages. Over the years she has created and been the musical and vocal director of multiple bands and singing groups in Toronto, performing original music that fuses the genres of Jazz, R&B, Gospel, Pop, and Soul. As a working musician, Aidan has an eclectic background of gigging and recording experience, spanning many genres including pop, blues, jazz, musical theatre, and meditation music. Her passion lies in teaching, and performing her original music that uplifts listeners with inquisitive and heartfelt lyrics. Her powerfully dynamic voice is unique and authentic- bridging classical jazz and soul styles with modern pop music.
