Join us to celebrate the opening of ‘This is an Illusion’, an exhibition culminating Contemporary Art Practices, a three-week visual arts intensive hosted by the Contemporary Art Gallery and Arts Umbrella.
Designed for young artists between the age of 15–19 interested in developing their visual art practice, this intensive focused on experimenting and pushing the boundaries of the participants own art making.
Students had the opportunity to work with leading artists, curators, and educators as they explored a range of contemporary art practices and approaches to exhibition making. Participants engaged in critiques and discussions about developing ideas, working with materials, and viewing works of art.
This program is generously supported by Lesley Stowe and Geoffrey Scott.
