Food is one of the earliest art forms. In the same way you take a script or an art project and add your own personality, cooking combines creativity, technical skills, and artistic flair to produce a dish that, like good art, reaches people on all levels. Budding chefs ages 15–18 have an opportunity to explore the culinary arts and restaurant management with Vikram Vij at his My Shanti restaurant in South Surrey.

Dates: Apr 28, May 26, 2018 | 10:00 am – 12:30 pm

Location: My Shanti, 15869 Croydon Dr., Surrey, BC V3S 0G2

Cost: $125

What People are Saying

“I just wanted to thank Arts Umbrella for last weekend’s cooking with Vij session my son, Charlie was fortunate enough to attend. Charlie emerged from the session feeling inspired and thrilled to have spent time with Vikram in the kitchen. He also brought us a delicious curry. We try to expose our kids to a variety of people and experiences. This one was unique and beyond Vikram’s culinary genius, he is a kind, generous man and a terrific role model for kids.”
