Arts Umbrella On Screen is a one-day, exclusive screening of a series of films by Arts Umbrella Dance Company. Created in lieu of live performances at the Vancouver Playhouse in May, these films represent a diverse array of the choreographic works the students explored throughout the year.

Featuring:

  • Fleeting Moment, choreographed by Lukas Timulak
  • Concocter, choreographed by Dario Dinuzzi
  • Qui Vivre Verra, choreographed by Donald Sales
  • Fragmented Isolation, choreographed by Emily Chessa
  • Wild Rover and the Young People, choreographed by James Kudelka
  • Together-Apart, choreographed by Gioconda Barbuto
  • An Instant, choreographed by Lesley Telford
  • A System of One, in collaboration with The Dutch National Ballet Academy, under the artistic guidance of Lia Witjes Poole

 

As well as special guest films by Chor Leoni Men’s Choir and the students of the EA Teen Animation Scholarship Program.

The full film is 75 minutes, with screenings scheduled for:

Folks are welcome at any time, limited seating is first come, first served. Physical distancing and capacity limits are in place, with a full COVID-19 safety plan being followed.
