Rebecca holds a BMus and MMus in Opera Performance from UBC, and an ARCT in Piano Performance from RCM. She also holds a BEd in Elementary Arts and Indigenous Education, and has taught elementary music and drama in both private and public school systems throughout BC.

Rebecca has sung with many local and provincial performing arts companies, and is an Alto section leader with the Vancouver Bach Choir. She enjoys developing and writing study guides for Vancouver Opera, and runs a small piano studio from her home. Rebecca is passionate about arts, education, and building community. Her favourite musical is West Side Story, and her favourite Shakespeare play is Hamlet. On the weekends, you can find Rebecca playing with her mini schnauzer puppy Lucy, reading books on the patio, or strumming a few chords on her purple ukulele. Rebecca is very excited and honoured to be joining the Arts Umbrella family, and can’t wait to work, play and learn with the community around her.
