Gabrielle began dancing at the Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre under the direction of Deborah Lundmark. There, she studied Ballet and Limón Modern, and had the privilege of dancing alongside the Limón Dance Company in New York. She then moved to Vancouver to join Arts Umbrella’s Graduate Program, where she performed works by world renowned choreographers including Crystal Pite, Aszure Barton, Johan Inger and Mats Ek. Following her graduation, Gabrielle moved to Switzerland to dance with Ballet Junior de Genève. Gabrielle is now part of Simon Fraser University’s Professional Development Program, and will soon be an elementary school teacher in the Vancouver area. Gabrielle is thrilled and grateful to be part of Arts Umbrella Dance’s faculty this year!
