About the Program

Tuesdays, Oct 5-Nov 23, 2021 (8 weeks)
4:00-5:30 pm
This program will take place over Zoom.

What would the “you” of the future say to the “you” of the present in order to support you through this particular moment in time?

HINDSIGHT is a solo performance and interdisciplinary art project for BIPOC youth ages 12-19. Young creatives who self-identify as ethnically and culturally diverse, of Indigenous, or of mixed-racial heritage will join our professional artist/instructors and bring to life your story of this time.

In a series of eight weekly online sessions, participants will learn aspects of solo performance creation including elements such as story structure, character development, narrative and more. With the help of guest artists from our creative community, your story is refined and defined to become a powerful narrative, clearly told. Guest artists have included Carmen Aguirre, Veda Hille, and Sophy Romvari.

Stage two of this program will invite those students with strong narrative work to further develop their piece in our studios. Professional support and mentorship will be offered in areas ranging from filmmaking, to songwriting, to choreography, and anything in between. The journey ends with a curated presentation of these powerful stories either in-person or online.
