Montreal-born painter Halin de Repentigny is known for his interpretations of the beauty and majesty of Canada’s remote northern wilderness. De Repentigny, who splits his time between the Yukon and Argentina, made his name when he moved to Dawson City and began depicting his surroundings on canvas. His style is influenced by The Group of Seven, Van Gogh, and portrait artist Lucien Freud. De Repentigny’s paintings are held in Canadian and international collections.
