Arts Umbrella's digital arts classes give students the chance to explore various aspects of the digital world. In these classes, accomplished artist instructors show students how to use the computer as a tool for creative expression and discovery. Students are able to practice a range of applications and creative elements in our new TELUS Digital Arts lab and learn practical, theoretical, and critical skills as artists, creators and arts enthusiasts.
A proficiency in written and spoken English is required for all classes.
Kid Tech
7-8 years
Plunge into the world of multi-media art and learn to use digital camcorders, Photoshop and iMovie software. This entry-level course is recommended for students interested in taking Computer Arts at Arts Umbrella.

Computer Animation — Advanced
14-18 years
In this advanced class, you will develop your skills of storyboarding and character design — the basics of industry-standard digital animation. Each session builds on the last as you progress through various digital animation skills and techniques. You will create dynamic montages of character design, movement, graphics, effects and lighting.
