All classes at Arts Umbrella encourage creativity and exploration. This is particularly true in Visual and Applied Arts where accomplished artist instructors bring their vast knowledge and experience to the classroom. They lead their students through projects that emphasize the process of creation and involve experimentation with a wide variety of media. In addition, the courses transfer valuable knowledge and develop the technical skills relevant to each media. Students learn to combine practical, theoretical, and critical skills to find and develop their own unique voice and style as artists, designers, creators and arts enthusiasts.
