Master Class Series

The Master Class Series is intended for serious students, ages 14-19, seeking intensive exploration into the many aspects of arts training with industry professionals. Get a taste of the type of in depth training offered at post secondary institutions in an intensive, three hour session. These classes allow you to grow further in a safe and supportive environment with like minded students.

VISUAL ARTS

Anatomical Life Drawing
Tuesday | 6:00–8:30pm, 3 weeks
Fee: $120

This three-part workshop explores the structures and forms of the human body, starting with the skeleton and musculature and moving outwards to flesh and drapery. You will utilize monochromatic mediums such as chalk, conté and acrylic paint with a strong focus on lighting and how it effects form. This workshop will give you the tools needed for accurate and dynamic life drawing.

Life Drawing in Colour
Tuesday | 6:00–8:30pm, 3 weeks
Fee: $120

Colour can convey emotions, seduce the eye, and enhance details. Explore the vast possibilities of adding colour to the human figure. Learn some colour tricks and techniques using coloured pencils, oil & chalk pastels, watercolours, tempera and acrylic paints.

Introduction to Fashion Design & Illustration
Tuesday | 6:00–8:30pm, 5 weeks
Fee: $200

Develop fashion design and illustration skills through the use of a broad range of media and mark-making techniques. Explore fashion illustration and engage in the fundamentals of fashion design, including research development, figure drawing and illustration techniques. Guided assistance will be provided throughout the idea generation process and research development.
