Master Workshop Series | Theatre

The Arts Umbrella Master Theatre Workshop Series is meant for serious students, ages 13-19 who would like to explore the many aspects of theatrical training with industry professionals. This is your chance to get a taste of the type of in depth training offered at post secondary institutions in an intensive three hour session. Experience in-depth training and allow yourself to grow further in a safe and supportive environment with like minded students.

• November 8, 2009 - Full Mask with Frank Rader, renowned mask maker and instructor
   
• December 6, 2009 - Directing with Stephen Drover of Pound of Flesh Theatre Company
   
• January 10, 2010 - Auditioning with Allan Lysell, Douglas College
  1. Audition for Film/TV (with discussion about talent agents, headshots and resumes) and 2. Audition for Theatre (including auditioning for schools, individual shows, as well as companies)
   
• January 24, 2010 - Musical Theatre with Peter Jorgensen, award winning actor, singer,
  choreographer, director and composer
   
• February 7, 2010 - Half Mask with Mike Stack of Young Shakespeareans and The Number 14
   
• March 21, 2010 - Awareness through Movement with Erica Trivett, professional dancer and dance faculty instructor at Arts Umbrella
   
• June 6, 2010 - Clowning with Mump and Smoot (Michael Kennard and John Turner)
