Join Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach - An Arts Umbrella Project (SMMO), for an exciting and inspiring music and learning experience!
Junior
9 to 12 years
Session I: August 4 to 14
Session II: August 17 to 28
Discover the joy of music in a dynamic and creative setting. Students will explore hands-on the essentials of music through song, dance and percussion instruments from a variety of cultures, in addition to daily field trips. Their new-found skills will be highlighted when students create an imaginative performance with original music, movement and inspired props.
Senior
13 to 17 years
Session I: August 17 to 28
Explore the process of songwriting and playing in an ensemble. Write, produce and record an original piece of music in a collaborative setting. Led by a professional musician, students will record their original work using digital technology. Field trips and visiting guest artists will enhance and guide students in their creative process.
*Students currently enrolled in Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach — An Arts Umbrella Project will receive priority for entry into these full scholarship programs.
