Rio Tinto Alcan Van Go & Stage Coach

With the support of Arts Umbrella's longstanding partner, Rio Tinto Alcan, the Van Go and Stage Coach programs provide free visual arts and theatre workshops to elementary schools throughout the Metro-Vancouver area. Children are provided with engaging opportunities to explore their sense of individuality, to embrace diversity and to nurture community spirit.

The Rio Tinto Alcan Van Go & Stage Coach Program is currently taking applications for the 2011-2012 school year. To apply, please email Susanne Moniz de Sá, Programming Liaison, at theatretroupe@artsumbrella.com.

Deadline to apply is Sunday, September 11, 2011. Schools will be selected through a lottery draw and successful applicants will be notified no later than Thursday, September 15, 2011.

PLEASE NOTE: Priority is given to schools deemed "inner city" by each school board and school district.
