Rio Tinto Alcan Van Go & Stage Coach

With the support of Arts Umbrella's longstanding partner, Rio Tinto Alcan, the Van Go and Stage Coach programs provide free visual arts and theatre workshops to elementary schools throughout the Metro-Vancouver area. Children are provided with engaging opportunities to explore their sense of individuality, to embrace diversity and to nurture community spirit.

The 2009/10 program will introduce a new these of "Art & Place". All art has meaning, and the Van Go and Stage Coach programs encourage students to create narratives within their surroundings. Students complete one project in the 90 minute session.
