Arts Umbrella Dance Company

Established in 1985, Arts Umbrella Dance Company (AUDC) is a Vancouver-based repertory company for select members of the professional program. The company includes senior and apprentice ensembles that train, rehearse and perform new and innovative works by some of North America's leading choreographers.

The company instills a sense of commitment and discipline and teaches good work habits. It provides young dancers with broad-based performance opportunities and technical training in preparation for dance education at the university level or a career in a professional adult company. Company members have the opportunity to work with internationally acclaimed guest artists and choreographers.

The company has toured to Montreal, Toronto, New York and Japan; it performs in Lower Mainland schools and around the province, and is showcased in many Arts Umbrella events and performances throughout the year. The events calendar will be distributed to registered students in September.

Dance auditions for the 2010-2011 program year will be held on March 21, 2010 at Arts Umbrella, Granville Island. Click here for an audition application form.
