Spring Break & Summer ProgramsIn addition to our regular schedule, Arts Umbrella offers creative learning opportunities during Spring Break in March, and throughout the summer in July and August. Spring programs include the Spring Fling Arts Camp for 5-12 year olds, and the Spring Break Arts Intensive for Teens for 13-18 year olds. Summer Programs include two two-week sessions in July for students aged 5-18. Each student can attend up to four classes per day, five days a week and choose classes in visual and performing arts, as well as participate in field trips and outdoor activities with our partners at Pinnacle Pursuits. In August students aged 11-14 can attend the TELETOON Animation Workshop, a full-scholarship digital animation program where students produce public service announcements about youth issues with the professionals at Studio B Productions and Dick & Rogers — two top companies in the field of animation in Vancouver. *This program will not be running in 2008. Also in August, Arts Umbrella offers the Summer Dance Intensive, a three-week program that gives students the opportunity to learn from world-renowned instructors and choreographers. In addition, Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach Summer Workshops bring free hands-on opportunities for young people aged 9 -17 to discover the essentials of music, composing, recording and producing. |
