With the forecast of heavy snowfall beginning this evening, we’d like to clarify our policy on class cancellations and closures.

Arts Umbrella follows the Vancouver and Surrey School district leads in regards to extreme weather closures.

Vancouver
If the Vancouver School Board issues a school closure notice classes at Arts Umbrella Granville Island and Q7 will be cancelled.

Surrey
If the Surrey School Board issues a school closure notice, classes at Arts Umbrella South Surrey and Surrey Centre will be cancelled.

Please note that no announcement will be made stating classes are running. Only class cancellations will be announced.

Should classes be cancelled we will post notification on our website and make every effort to contact the affected parents and caregivers.
