Tracy Wiens

Tracy Wiens began her stage career in her early teens, belonging to both award winning choirs and dance teams. Since 1997, Tracy has performed extensively in the Lower Mainland, Kootenays, and Okanagan in the genres of musical theater, opera, operetta, and oratorio. Favourite roles to date include Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Venus in Orpheus in the Underworld, and Dick Deadeye in HMS Pinafore. She has also been a featured soloist with the West Coast Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Orchestra, and Willan Choir. Ms. Wiens was also a featured semi-finalist in Bravo Channel's "Bathroom Divas", and has been a member of Vancouver Bach Choir for many seasons. Tracy holds a Bachelor of Music degree, majoring in Classical Vocal Performance, and has also completed university programs in both Business Administration, and Apparel Design. As well as a voice and dance background, she has fully designed costuming for many musical theater and opera productions. Ms. Wiens was the conductor of the Vancouver Turkish Community Choir, and has performed with many choral organizations in the Vancouver area. She currently teaches music in the early learning program and is the Coordinator of Programming at Arts Umbrella, Granville Island, managing the community outreach & offsite programs of Vancouver. Tracy looks forward to many more years of performing, teaching, and learning all she can about the art of classical song and voice.
