Arts Umbrella is excited to announce a new immersive theatre program offering passionate students the chance to dig into the real work of being an actor – the mix of voice, movement, acting, staging, and promotion that makes a career.

The Arts Umbrella Theatre Conservatory will help youth bridge the gap from high school to high-cost post-secondary programs and high-demand professional opportunities.

“It will give talented teens a taste of the rigorous demands of professional training,” says Jane Heyman, retired Associate Director, Studio 58.

It’s training that program coordinator Andy Toth (Arts Club, TUTS) wishes he’d had before attending New York’s AMDA, the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.

“I feel like I went to school one year early,” says Toth. “I didn’t use that education as well as I could have.”

That’s exactly why Arts Umbrella has developed the Conservatory: to help young actors grow their love of theatre – and start turning that love into a career.

  • Get real-world theatre experience 20-30 hours/week
  • Receive individual coaching and audition training
  • Take classes with local and international guest artists and directors

Be first in line for auditions! Classes start October 2016!
