The 2008 Arts Umbrella Fashion Gala, held on Tuesday, May 6th was a giant success, raising almost $500,000 for Arts Umbrella.  We are extremely proud of our partnership with Holt Renfrew and grateful for the hundreds of individuals who attended, and the numerous sponsors and partners who made it a reality.

Currently, Holt Renfrew is reviewing their community investments to ensure a strategic focus with a national charity that involves all stores and markets across Canada, and is not in a position at this point to commit to other projects. As a result we will not be hosting our annual fashion event with Holt Renfrew in 2009.

The 2008 Holt Renfrew Fashion Gala, to benefit Arts Umbrella, was Vancouver's most anticipated fashion event!

Set in Holt Renfrew's magnificent new Vancouver flagship store, the store's atrium was transformed into a moving catwalk, featuring the Fall 2008 Diane von Furstenberg collection. Our guest of honour for the evening was the legendary designer Diane von Furstenberg.

Guests savoured wine courtesy of Red Rooster Winery and innovative canapés by Opus Hotel Catering, while enjoying sneak-preview performances of the show Corteo^TM from Cirque du Soleil^®

All proceeds supported Arts Umbrella, Canada's centre for arts education, reaching young people ages 2 to 19.
