The 2008 Globe and Mail Invitational was a huge success!  We raised $90,000 in net proceeds for the Arts Umbrella Foundation, which will ensure financial stability for the children of Arts Umbrella. Thank you to all of our generous sponsors and partners who made this event possible.

Celebrating its 11th year in 2008, The Globe and Mail Invitational is a dynamic golf tournament that offers players a challenging 18-hole game and an opportunity to enjoy a first-rate social event.

Held at the challenging and scenic Westwood Plateau Golf & Country Club in Coquitlam, BC, the tournament is an all inclusive event, followed by a cocktail reception, dinner, awards ceremony, silent auction and a live auction conducted by Maynard's Industries.

New for 2008, locally renowned CTV News at Six Sportscaster, Perry Solkowski, will be hosting this year's 18-hole tournament along with CTV News at 11:30 Sportscaster, Kathy Kovacs, who will be spending the day at the Academy.

For the more casual golfer, the new Ultimate Academy Experience offers a unique golf & pampering package at Westwood Plateau's Academy. Participants will be treated to a special breakfast wake-up session, followed by tailored golf lessons & 9 holes at the Academy topped off with extra special activities and spa inspired treatments!
