March presented some power-house performances by Arts Umbrella students.   • Your Future Home: Creating the New Vancouver Now until May 15, 2016 This exhibition immerses people in an experience that spotlights 23 visions for tomorrow’s city. Come learn how citizens contribute to the building of Vancouver and explore ideas proposed by the city’s most talented designers, including this 2500-foot tower from Henriquez Partners Architects.   • Bonnie and Clyde: the musical Mar 30-Apr 10, 2016 Follow the infamous couple and their reckless adventures. Presented by Play on Words Productions and featuring AU instructor Cassady Ranford. Havana Theatre, 1212 Commercial Dr.
  • Crimes of the Heart Mar 30-Apr 3 and Apr 8-10, 2016 Sisters and their secrets are centre-stage in this Beth Henley play. Presented by Bright Young Theatre and featuring AU instructors Laura McLean, Joanna Williams, and Melanie Reich. Little Mountain Gallery, 195 E. 26th Ave.
  • Capture Photography Festival Exhibition Opening Apr 1-16, 2016; opening Apr 1 at 6 pm An interactive photography exhibit by Arts Umbrella students. Remington Gallery, 108 E. Hastings St.
  • Capture Photography – Arts Umbrella installation April 2016 Our Granville Island and South Surrey buildings become part of the photography festival exhibition. Arts Umbrella Granville Island and South Surrey.
  • Sunday Performance Series Apr 24, 2016 Arts Umbrella Dance Company performs new and innovative works-in-progress by leading Canadian choreographers alongside featured special guest artists Helix Dance Company. Fei and Milton Wong Experimental Theatre, 149 W. Hastings St.
  • AUDC Open Rehearsal Celebrate International Dance Day with Arts Umbrella! The Arts Umbrella Dance Company will be hosting an open rehearsal on April 29 from 1:30 PM to 3 PM. Join choreographer and teacher Lesley Telford as she shows her newest creation for the dancers. Arts Umbrella Dance, 1286 Cartwright St.
