Governs the collection, use and disclosure of personal information by private sector and not-for-profit organizations in British Columbia. Arts Umbrella respects your personal information and will adhere to legislative requirements with respect to protecting privacy.
Accountability, Openness and Access
Arts Umbrella is responsible for all Personal Information under its control and has designated two Privacy Officers who are accountable to the Board of Directors for Arts Umbrella's compliance with the Privacy Policy.
Limiting Collection & Retention of Personal Information
Arts Umbrella will only collect, use, or disclose personal information that is necessary for the Identified Purposes or as required by law. If we require Personal Information for any other purpose, you will be notified of the new purpose and, subject to your consent, that new purpose will become an Identified Purpose. We will retain Personal Information only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the Identified Purposes.
Accuracy
Arts Umbrella will maintain your personal information as accurate, complete and up-to-date as is necessary for the Identified Purposes.
Safeguards
Arts Umbrella will protect your Personal Information by security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. Safeguards will vary depending on the sensitivity, location and storage of Personal Information.
Arts Umbrella will not disclose information without your consent and does not rent, sell or trade mailing lists. The information you have provided will be used to deliver services and to keep you informed and up-to-date about the activities of Arts Umbrella. Activities include advising you of fundraising initiatives, programs, services, special events, open houses, exhibits and/or performances.
