This Tuesday evening, the atrium of the magnificent new Holt Renfrew store will be transformed into a moving, multi-level catwalk, featuring the Fall 2008 Diane von Furstenberg collection. Guest of honour for the evening will be legendary designer, Diane von Furstenberg. October 17, 2007 - OVER $425,000 RAISED TO SUPPORT ARTS EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN - Works by Canada's finest artists are auctioned off at Splash 2007. More than 500 people came together October 13 to support arts education for children at Splash 2007, Arts Umbrella's annual art auction & gala evening, presented by TELUS. The black tie event celebrated its 25th year and raised over $425,000 in net proceeds, a fundraising milestone. October 19, 2007- DANCING ACROSS THE COUNTRY - North Shore dancer performs with internationally acclaimed ProArteDanza in Toronto. Earlier this month, seventeen-year-old Arts Umbrella dancer and north shore resident Alyson Fretz travelled across the country to perform with the prestigious ProArteDanza Company in Toronto alongside internationally acclaimed dancers, including the principals from the National Ballet of Canada. October 2nd, 2007 - THE ART OF GIVING BACK - Local artists support arts education at Arts Umbrella's 25th annual Splash fundraiser. On October 13, 2007 Arts Umbrella will celebrate its 25th year of Splash — presented by TELUS — Vancouver's pre-eminent art auction and a key fundraising event for arts education.
